For many two-year-olds, preschool is the first group experience away from home. Our nurturing environment and 1:3 adult-to-child ratio ensures the needs of each child are met during this important time. The Twos Program is the beginning of the bond between parents, children and teacher. This collaborative relationship encourages the children to feel safe and creates an environment that fosters the beginning of their independence. Children learn how to share an environment with others, simple school routines and how to get along with their peers.

 

Developmental Milestones

While it is extremely important to remember that all children develop at their own pace, below are some typical developmental milestones for two-year-olds.  Teachers support and build upon milestones by providing learning opportunities throughout our Experience Centers while also gently facilitating social interactions.
